Unveiling Plaque to commemorate Kildare Volunteers in the 1916 Rising

I was honoured to be asked by Cllr. Frank O'Rourke to unveil a plaque at Lawlors Hotel, Nass to commemorate a dinner held to celebrate the role played by Kildare Volunteers in the 1916 Rising on the  Anniversary of the Rising in 1949.  The dinner was attended by Eamonn DeValera.

The dinner was held in Lawlor's Ballroom on the 30th April 1949.
